We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded individual to lead key initiatives that support Exceptional Everyday across Weetons. In this role, you will drive operational excellence by analysing performance, optimising processes, and providing actionable insights that enhance customer experience, strengthen profitability, and support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Stock & Inventory Management
Manage and monitor inventory levels to optimise stock availability and reduce inventory surplus in line with business budgets.
Identify stock risks and opportunities, negotiating effective solutions with suppliers.
Oversee monthly and ad hoc stock takes to ensure accurate inventory control.
Manage stock requirements for hampers and support system management.
Lead seasonal buying for the Food Hall and produce forecasts for Food Services departments.
Sales & Performance Analysis
Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks that will maximise sales and profit.
Maintain up-to-date weekly MI reports with a high level of accuracy.
Keep consistent awareness of best and worst sellers, actioning rebuys and managing product continuity.
Range & Merchandising
Ensure balanced range architecture with appropriate price points and product mix across channels.
Support merchandising strategies and address operational challenges related to product availability and presentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Buying, Warehouse, Finance, Retail, and other internal teams to align retail strategies with wider business objectives.
Build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating costs and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries.
Contribute positively to team culture, fostering an engaging and high-performing environment.
Strategic & Operational Excellence
Drive initiatives to enhance sales performance, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making.
Skills required
Strong stakeholder management skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and IT systems, with the desire to enhance and expand skill base.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships.
A passion for consumer goods and a customer centric approach.
