We currently have several exciting opportunities for skilled and enthusiastic craftsmen to join our production team, working in our busy, Derby based factory. Currently we are hiring for a number of positions, including Metal Fabricators.

About the Role

As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling high-quality metal components that meet precise specifications and ensure that we continue to meet our high standards. This is a dynamic role that will see you fabricating a number of different parts and components. The ideal candidate will be expected to:

Accurately fabricate and assemble a wide range of metal components according to detailed specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, the production of seatbeds, gas lockers, and other custom metal products. Operate metalworking machinery, including guillotines, notchers, to process materials efficiently and safely. Utilise a variety of sheet metal, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and form metal materials into the required parts, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and are within the necessary tolerances. Assemble fabricated parts using both hand tools and mechanical fastening techniques to create finished metal products. Ensure that all components fit together correctly and function as intended. Apply basic math skills and measurement techniques to ensure that all cuts, bends, and assembled parts meet exact specifications. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment by adhering to company safety protocols and ensuring that all tools and materials are properly stored. Working closely with other factory departments to ensure quality, customer satisfaction and that projects are completed on time.

The Ideal Candidate

Full training on our build process and the standards that we hold ourselves to will be provided; however, the ideal candidate would possess the following:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly in metal fabrication. A strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail. The ability to work from drawings and perform quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure accuracy and consistency. Familiarity with welding or other metalworking techniques would be a plus The Ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines without compromising quality.

Pay & Benefits

Starting pay 29,120.00 per annum (pro rata, per annum) 40-hour basic week with early Friday finish Overtime paid Permanent role 3% employer pension contribution
