Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team at our fabrication workshop near Melton Mowbray. The Metal Fabricator will be responsible for creating our handcrafted products and components according to drawings and specifications.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble metal structures Perform stick welding to join metal components Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, bending, and shaping metal Weld components together to create finished products Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve fabrication issues

Skills

A successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years welding & fabrication experience. With NVQ lv3 apprentice being an added bonus.

Ability to read from engineering drawings. Ability to MIG weld steel in thickness' from 2mm-15mm. Ability to fabricate bespoke steelwork from scratch , independently to a high level of quality. Ability to work as part of a team & independently. Experience using equipment such as ; guillotine / angle grinders / saws / rollers / press brake / punch / drills- Proficiency in metal fabrication techniques.
