Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metal fabrication, including experience with power tools and Tig welding techniques. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various materials, primarily sheet metal. As a Metal Fabricator, you will play a crucial part in assembling and fabricating metal components for our projects.

Duties

Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts. Fabricate components according to specifications and engineering drawings. Perform welding tasks using stick welding techniques to join metal pieces securely. Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency. Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience in metal fabrication, particularly with sheet metal. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues. Experience in welding, specifically Tig welding methods. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately. Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Working week Monday - Thursday 8:00 - 5:00 , Friday 8:00 - 1:00pm

Pay will be based on experience and can be discussed at interviewing process.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 11.75-17.00 per hour
