Job Title: Metal Fabricator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to join our growing team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling high-quality metal components that meet precise specifications. This is a dynamic role that will require you to work with various metals and materials, using both hand tools and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities & Skills required

:

Fabrication and Assembly

: Accurately fabricate and assemble a wide range of metal components according to detailed specifications. This includes, but is not limited to, the production of stainless steel worktops, refrigeration housings, and other custom metal products.

Material Processing

: Utilise a variety of sheet metal, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and form metal materials into the required parts. Ensure that all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards and are within the necessary tolerances.

Machinery Operation

: Operate metalworking machinery, including hydraulic benders, guillotines, notchers, and Promecam systems, to process materials efficiently and safely.

Assembly

: Assemble fabricated parts using both hand tools and mechanical fastening techniques to create finished metal products. Ensure that all components fit together correctly and function as intended.

Measurement and Accuracy

: Apply basic math skills and measurement techniques to ensure that all cuts, bends, and assembled parts meet exact specifications. The ability to work of drawings and perform quality checks throughout the fabrication process to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Workplace Safety and Organisation

: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment by adhering to company safety protocols and ensuring that all tools and materials are properly stored. Regularly inspect work areas and equipment to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement.

Communication

: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Communicate effectively to resolve technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly in metal fabrication. Familiarity with welding or other metalworking techniques is a plus. Ability to work under pressure to meet production deadlines without compromising quality.
