The Role
As a Metal Fabricator, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality sheet metal components to precise specifications. You'll work from technical drawings, operating fabrication machinery and hand tools to create bespoke and batch-run metal products.
Typical duties will include:
Cutting, folding, and forming sheet metal using press brakes, guillotines, and rollers
TIG/MIG welding and finishing metal components
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Carrying out quality checks to maintain production standards
Working collaboratively within a close-knit fabrication team
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced workshop setting.
You'll have:
Proven sheet metal fabrication experience
(minimum 2-3 years)
Previous
factory or workshop-based experience
Ability to
read and interpret fabrication drawings
Competence in
TIG/MIG welding
(or a willingness to upskill)
A good eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Strong work ethic and reliability
Any formal fabrication or welding qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds) would be advantageous but not essential if backed by experience.
