Role Purpose:




To be confident in applying Automotive and Industrial measurement requirements leading to the generation of comprehensive dimensional reports. Work in accordance with IATF16949 / ISO9001 Standards and apply/achieve customer specifics to maintain quality objectives and deploy continuous improvement opportunities.

Main Role Duties / Scope:



Fully conversant in reading 3rd angle geometric drawings interpreting datums, GDT and customer specifics as required. Fully conversant in using Mitutoyo 3 axis measuring machine "bridge type utilising both Renishaw probes and a non-contact laser measuring device (Faro Arm) linked to the 3-axis measuring machine. "3 axis machine type Model 191-294R Crysta-Apex - S9166 Coordinate measuring machine" and Faro Arm. Software: MCosmos 3, Cat1000 Cad, MSURF-S & MSURF-1 and Polyworks Evaluate colour coded parts and prepare Appearance Approval Reports for submission to customer when needed. Ensure that communication related to all quality issues is effective between shifts, in respect of manufacturing cell leaders, quality engineers etc, where required containment / corrective action is implemented and applied uniformly across all shifts. Liaise with customers as required to discuss measurement (PPAP/APQP) related matters. Adhere to customer measurement submission timelines Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all other team members, ensuring containment/corrective action is implemented and applied uniformly. Measure components using first principal measuring equipment & utilise CMM as required. Product re-qualification & and annual measurement review

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, verbal and written and feel comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels within the business.


Candidates must have a proactive, investigative, problem solving and hands on approach to tasks; through high levels of analytical capability, you should be capable of working to your own initiatives, and competent in satisfying demanding deadlines whilst remaining customer focused.

Experience Automotive 3 year minimum Experience of working with 1st / 2nd tier customers ISO9001/ IATF16949 knowledge and experience Background Quality/Manufacturing environment Automotive Engineering ONC IQA Modules or MIQA Job Related Skills SPC, C Plans, PPAP, Quality tools, Problem Solving, reading and working with drawings APQP Working knowledge of IMDS is preferable. CMM - Mitutoyo and Faro Arm is essential. Interpersonal Skills Good communicator Ability to work effectively in a team environment. * High level of computer proficiencies
