This is an exciting opportunity to join Housing, the post holder will require the skills and abilities to undertake the following activities

To develop, co-ordinate, review and promote the Council's Strategic approach to tackling Housing need throughout the county borough through working in partnership with Housing associations, developers, landowners, voluntary sector partners, Communities, Health, Social Care and other statutory partners.

To play a pivotal role in the transformation of Housing and Prevention Services to reduce the dependancy on statutory Service provision and shape local repsonses to National policy and initiatives.

To ensuire that the Council's County Plan and Community Strategy are embedded within the Housing context across strategies covering homelessness, empty homes, private rented sector and prevention with a clear emphasis on delivering against the early intervention and prevention agenda.

The post holder will work with a range of partners and stakeholders to implement the priorities outlined within the Rapid Rehousing Plans linking across strategic frameworks and policy areas to ensure that accommodation and support needs of our homeless population are met.

Maximising the benefits of Partnership working, the key priorities are to strengthen homeless prevention, review the supply and quality of all types of homeless accommodation, strengthen support for homeless households and minimise the time spent in temporary Accommodation
