UK GL Accounting Manager
Role Overview:
Otis UK is seeking an experienced UK GL Accounting Manager to oversee the Financial Accounting process and improvements in the month end process across the operating unit. This role demands a strong background in both Statutory and Management Accounting and dealing with both internal and external stakeholders. This role reports to the Chief Accountant.
On a typical day you will:Preparation, review and approval of journals at month end relating to the Accounting team.
Leading projects to improve the robustness of the month end process and reporting.
Strong understanding of the Balance Sheet with regular Balance sheet reviews and approvals.
Working with external and internal auditors.
Ensuring all Statutory Accounts are prepared, reviewed and submitted with Companies House within the agreed deadlines.
Preparation and submission of all UK Tax returns to HMRC within deadlines.
Collaborate with other areas within Finance and across the business.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Providing detailed input of actuals into the monthly flash meetings with CFO and FP&A.
Supporting the Chief Accountant with other month end duties, projects and ad-hoc requests
What You Will Need to be Successful:Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
Relevant professional accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft software and tools.
Fluent written and spoken English essential
