Active Pathways are looking for an outstanding
MHA & CPA Administrator
to join our team and ensure compliance with legislation by managing legal documentation, coordinating statutory processes, and supporting patients' rights.
You'll act as a key liaison between clinical teams, legal representatives, patients, and external bodies such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Based at Brookhaven and The Hamptons, you will be responsible for the effective administration of the
Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), and Care Programme Approach (CPA).
This role is based in a mental health rehabilitation setting, where residents may present with complex needs and challenging behaviours. We're looking for someone who is emotionally resilient, non-judgemental, and able to build strong working relationships with both clinical teams and external professionals.

As an MHA & CPA Administrator, you will:
Support the administration of the MHA, MCA, DoLS and CPA.
Manage and maintain records, systems and statutory documentation
Liaise with clinical teams, patients, families, legal representatives and regulators
Help coordinate CPA meetings and tribunal hearings
Ensure deadlines are met and documentation is accurate
Receive training to scrutinise and validate MHA documentation
Provide administrative support to ensure compliance and patient rights are protected
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in a similar MHA or CPA Administrator role, with strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and related legislation (required)
Minimum of 1 year administration experience, with GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
Strong IT and written communication skills, including Microsoft Office and digital databases
Organised and detail-focused, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with professionals at all levels and taking accurate minutes of meetings
Understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and sensitivity when supporting service users and professionals
Flexible, proactive, and a supportive team player with empathy, compassion, and resilience
Experience in healthcare, mental health, social care, or legal administration is highly desirable
