The Mental Health Operational Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the mental health support team, ensuring high-quality care and support for clients. This role involves team clinical and operational supervision, program development, operational management, coordination of mental health services and stakeholder relationships, including safeguarding intervention and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to improving mental health outcomes in our community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As part of this role, you will provide direct supervision, mentorship, and support to the Mental Health Support Team and the wider Be U Swindon service, including therapists, EMHPs, admin, and support staff. You will lead team meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development activities while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and open communication. Managing schedules, workloads, and resources will be key to ensuring efficient and effective service delivery, alongside developing and maintaining operational policies and procedures that meet both internal and external standards. You will be responsible for accurate documentation, monitoring programme outcomes, and using data to drive improvements, as well as reporting regularly to the Strategic Lead and MH Division SLT. Externally, you will represent the organisation at community events and build relationships with stakeholders, referral sources, and partners to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and improve access to services. Ensuring that all programmes are evidence-based, culturally competent, and aligned with best practice, you will also oversee the delivery of high-quality mental health services and ensure care plans are developed and reviewed in line with professional and regulatory standards. Where required, you will provide direct clinical input, including assessments, therapy, and triage, and take on additional duties in line with service development and growth.
