Job Description

PG Assist Services Ltd require a Microbiologist to join our current team within the Microbiology Department. PG Assist is a specialist managed service provider and we provide support services for a large, highly respected blue chip company (Procter & Gamble), who create branded goods and services across the entire Globe.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our forward thinking and dynamic organisation in a laboratory based role.

The role will assist with the day to day testing activities within the department to ensure the overall quality and compliance of the work performed meets the expected level of service and that all data generated is accurate and on-time. The routine testing and qualification of microbial robustness of products involves:-

Claim Support.

Culture Collection Maintenance.

Microbial Media Production and Growth Promotion Testing (Microbiology experience is essential as is a good knowledge of microbiological processes related to product development and quality controls).

Suitable candidates should possess at least two years Microbiology lab experience (preferably with a degree in Microbiology), excellent communication skills (both written and oral), with a passion for accuracy and attention to detail. You should also have a strong analytical and problem solving nature and also have good computer literacy.

Candidates should be agile and flexible with the ability to troubleshoot/feedback issues as they arise. A high level of reporting data/data integrity is required so strong Excel skills would be desirable. All work performed must conform to site and Lab Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and comply with GMP and GLP principles.

Candidates should live within commuting distance of Reading, Berkshire. No relocation considered.
