We are seeking a Midday Supervisor to join our team at Auriol Junior School, part of Bourne Education Trust.




As a Midday Supervisor, you will be responsible for the supervision of pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety, welfare and good conduct. You will promote the inclusion of all pupils in all aspects of school life, in line with school and Trust policies, while promoting the ethos and values of the school and Bourne Education Trust.


Please note: Candidates appointed to the Midday Supervisor role may also choose to apply for the Learning Support Assistant role (8:15am - 11:45am), if they wish to extend their hours. In this case, a separate application for the Learning Support Assistant role will be required. However, if you are applying for the Learning Support Assistant position and would like to do both roles, there is no need to submit a separate application for Midday Supervisor, simply indicate your interest when applying.

Auriol Junior is a three-form entry junior school in Surrey with a deaf unit in Epsom, Surrey. Key responsibilities include:




Supervise the movement of pupils between classrooms, play areas and dining areas from the beginning of the lunchtime period to classes resuming Ensure all areas remain free from slip and trip hazards, reporting anything which cannot be immediately remedied Provide supervision of positive and enjoyable lunchtimes for pupils including organising and participating in games and activities

Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children Ability to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills Ability to evidence or willingness to undertake effective continuous professional development

Relevant experience of working with children in an education setting
