Job description
We seek an experienced MIG & Stick welder/ fabricator and site installation to join the JB Engineering team in Hatton, Derbyshire. The job role covers completing customer fabrication jobs, fabrication job installation on customer sites, and some site maintenance. Support will be given concerning fabrication job installations, you will form part of a team.
Job role responsibilities:
To support the engineering team when completing jobs.
To contribute to the efficient running of the engineering department.
Manufacturing customer orders to a high standard.
Operating welding equipment.
Cleaning tools and work areas.
Following health and safety rules and monitoring any potential hazards.
Reading drawings made by the laser team to plan job procedures.
To manufacture parts to the required specification.
To maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
To complete site maintenance, fabrication and equipment installation.
To communicate effectively with customers and team.
To carry out Stock-Control duties, such as keeping stock in order.
Essential requirements:
Previous experience in welding and fabrication (specifically TIG skills).
Previous experience in mechanical and site maintenance.
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
To be self-motivating and have a can-do attitude!
To be able to read engineering drawings.
Reliable and punctual.
Full driving license.
Advantage requirements:
Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
To have completed an apprenticeship or gained working experience.
