Renewable Micro Solutions Ltd are currently seeking a talented and experienced MIG Structural Steel Welder/Fabricator to join our M&E company, located in Coventry.
Specialising in prefab modules including packaged plantroom systems, riser modules, pump & pipe skids, Buildings, pipe bridges and more, for various commercial contracts such as hotels, accommodation, schools, prisons, and hospital etc.
We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to join our team, specializing in structural steel fabrication and MIG welding. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mild steel to create and assemble structural components for construction and industrial projects. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Duties
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel to fabricate and assemble structural steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform Mig/Tig welding and other welding techniques to ensure strong, durable joints.
- Read and interpret Drawings to determine welding requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, grinding, and welding tasks
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet standards
Skills
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Skilful in using hand tools and power tool.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of Mechanical Pipework
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
- Ability to use band saw, punch machine, brake press
