Job Title: Fabricator Welder

Location: Sheffield (On-site)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 18 per hour (depending on experience) + overtime at enhanced rates

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fabricator Welder to join our busy workshop in Sheffield. This hands-on position is perfect for someone with a strong background in structural and architectural steel fabrication and a keen eye for detail. Your primary responsibilities will include fabricating and assembling a variety of steel components, such as beams, frames, staircases, balustrades, and custom projects, all based on detailed technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings

- Fabricate and assemble structural and architectural steelwork

- Perform high-quality MIG welding (TIG welding experience is a plus)

- Operate workshop equipment to cut, mark, drill, and prepare materials

- Verify final dimensions and ensure accurate assembly

- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and quality

- Work safely, efficiently, and collaboratively within a team

Requirements:

- Proven experience in a steel fabrication environment

- Strong skills in transforming raw materials into finished products

- Proficient in MIG welding (TIG welding is advantageous)

- Ability to read and follow detailed technical drawings

- Good understanding of tolerances and fabrication best practices

- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team

- Relevant qualification or apprenticeship in fabrication/welding is preferred
