MIG Welder

Overview

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the welding and fabrication of structural steel, with the ability to read drawings, work acuratley and adhere to quality procedures. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate power and hand tools effectively. The MIG Welder will play a crucial part in assembling components and ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.

Duties

Perform MIG welding on various materials, primarily structural steel, ensuring precision and quality. Assemble components as per engineering specifications and drawings. Fabricate parts using power tools and hand tools, adhering to safety protocols. Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications. Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity. Utilise basic maths skills to calculate measurements and material requirements accurately.

Qualifications

Proven experience in MIG welding. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with fabrication techniques and processes related to structural steel fabrication. Good understanding of safety practices in a welding environment. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Pay: 16.00-17.50 per hour
