Job Description

We are actively looking to hire a permanent Sheet Metal Worker, Fabricator, and Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess at least an NVQ Level 2 qualification in welding and have practical experience operating a variety of fabrication and engineering workshop machinery, including cutting, punching, folding, rolling, and bending equipment.

Candidates should exhibit strong attention to detail, a commitment to producing high-quality, custom-made products, and the ability to accurately document processes. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on bespoke fabrications, small production runs, and innovative design projects.

Experience with technical drawings and CAD software is beneficial, as is familiarity with component preparation and coating techniques--though a willingness to develop skills in these areas is also valued. Basic manual machining skills are considered a plus.

The position offers a pay rate between approximately 15 and 20 per hour, based on experience.

Position Overview: As a MIG Welder and Fabricator, your primary responsibilities will include fabricating and assembling metal components using welding techniques and hand tools. Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, you will interpret CAD drawings and utilize your mechanical skills to deliver precise, high-quality work. Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, power tools, and MIG welding is essential, with TIG welding experience being advantageous. Attention to detail and basic math skills are crucial for successful project completion, making you a vital part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment to create metal components according to specifications. Use hand and power tools for sheet metal fabrication and assembly. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate manufacturing. Perform quality inspections on finished products to meet industry standards. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and project efficiency.
