The ideal candidate will hold at least an NVQ Level 2 qualification in welding and have hands-on experience operating various fabrication and engineering workshop machinery, including cutting, punching, folding, rolling, and bending equipment.
Candidates should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, a dedication to producing high-quality, custom-made products, and the capability to accurately document processes. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on bespoke fabrications, small production runs, and innovative design projects.
Experience with technical drawings and CAD software is advantageous, as is familiarity with component preparation and coating techniques--though a willingness to develop skills in these areas is highly valued. Basic manual machining skills are also considered a plus.
The position offers an hourly rate ranging from approximately 15 to 20, depending on experience.

Position Overview: As a MIG Welder and Fabricator, your main duties will involve fabricating and assembling metal components using welding techniques and hand tools. Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, you will interpret CAD drawings and employ your mechanical skills to produce precise, high-quality work. Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication, power tools, and MIG welding is essential, with TIG welding experience being an advantage. Attention to detail and basic math skills are critical for successful project completion, making you a key member of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment to produce metal components in accordance with specifications.
Use hand and power tools for sheet metal fabrication and assembly.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate manufacturing.
Conduct quality inspections on finished products to meet industry standards.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace in compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and project efficiency.
