Welder / Fabricator - Full-Time Position

A well-established engineering company is seeking a skilled

Welder/Fabricator

to join its team. Based in a fully equipped workshop in

Kendal

, the role may also involve occasional site work. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on both in-house and customer projects, fabricating and fitting a wide range of production and bespoke components.

Responsibilities:

Fabrication and engineering of bespoke parts and short production runs Operation of workshop machinery and tools, including cutting, punching, folding, rolling, and bending equipment Assembly and occasional fitting of fabricated components Accurate documentation of work and adherence to technical specifications Potential involvement in development and prototyping of new designs Optional participation in surface preparation and coating processes
Requirements:

Minimum

NVQ Level 2

qualification in welding (or equivalent experience) Proficient in general fabrication techniques and workshop equipment Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work Ability to interpret technical drawings; familiarity with CAD software is advantageous Basic manual machining skills are beneficial Willingness to contribute to a collaborative and skilled team environment
