MIG Welder



Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team in manufacturing and assembling metal structures for bespoke automated systems and shell room equipment within the castings industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to assemble components and work with various materials. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand and power tools to produce high-quality welds. As a MIG Welder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and durability of our products.

Responsibilities



Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and engineering drawings. Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring strong and precise welds. Utilise stick welding techniques as required for specific projects. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the welding and fabrication process. Quality check completed welds to ensure they meet required standards. Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve production efficiency. Assist in the development of fabrication techniques and processes as needed.

Requirements



Ongoing and continuous right to work within the UK - please note sponsorship is not available for this role. Proven experience as a MIG Welder or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. Experience working with sheet metal is highly desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
