Dale Farm Cooperative is a UK dairy farmer co-operative owned by over 1200 dairy farmers who supply us with fresh milk. Dale Farm has operations throughout the UK and Ireland producing and distributing a wide range of dairy products which it sells across the UK and Ireland as well as exporting to over 45 countries worldwide.

Mill Process Operative

As a Mill Process Operative you will undertake a specialist and skilled role striving to achieve optimum levels of plant efficiency and product quality. The job covers all aspects of the mill process from machine set up, automated and manual machine operation, process control, completion of all quality checks and associated paperwork, together with general cleaning, housekeeping and maintenance duties.


Candidates must have an interest and skill in acquiring specialist knowledge and take pride in the quality of their finished output. As this is an important role we are looking for applicants who possess energy and drive, who are keen for responsibility and who wish to develop their skill set and contribute to a winning team.


Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience gained in a fast moving just in time manufacturing environment, including automated machine operation and maintenance of production records. Evidence of previous experience with computer controlled systems is essential, technical experience working with Scada controlled system manufacturing plant is preferable.


The successful candidates will have a good general level of education, good communication skills, be IT literate and possess an ability to work on your own initiative. You will also be reliable, co - operative and flexible to work early starts nightshifts and weekends if required.
