Wimbledon High School is seeking a reliable, punctual and friendly D1-qualified Minibus Driver and Estates Operative to join us on a full time or part time basis.
In this role, you will safely transport our students and their equipment to school-related activities, including trips, sporting fixtures and events. You will take responsibility for overseeing the welfare of passengers, the secure handling of items, and the upkeep of the minibus, ensuring it remains clean, well maintained and roadworthy.
In addition to your driving duties, you will support the smooth running of the school site through a wide variety of tasks. These include assisting with maintenance and repair work, moving furniture, supporting the upkeep of our grounds, undertaking seasonal duties such as gritting, and helping with the set-up and take-down of equipment for school events and lettings.
About you
We are looking for a positive and proactive individual with a clean UK D1 driving licence and experience of driving minibuses or similar vehicles. Previous experience in building or grounds maintenance would be advantageous. You will demonstrate strong teamwork, organisational and communication skills, a willingness to learn new skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment.
This role offers considerable flexibility, with both full time and part time hours available, and provides the opportunity to be part of a supportive and dynamic school community where no two days are the same.
