Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to work in our Minor Injuries Unit within St Austell Community Hospital.



This is a Band 6 post, and we would be delighted to interview practitioners who are able to work in an advanced practice role which includes minor injuries, minor illness and paediatrics at Band 6 level. This role will working alongside a Band 6 or 5 team member and a Band 3 Health Care Assistant.



A passion for minor injury care, good communication skills, and a commitment to work in an MIU team delivering high quality care are all essential. You must be responsive to change, flexible in your approach and have a sound knowledge of professional issues.



The MIU currently operates from 8am - 8pm covering a 7-day service and is committed to delivering high quality care to the local population, which exhibits a marked increase in patient-attendance during the holiday period.

To deliver, without supervision, effective assessment and treatment of patients utilising evidence based approach. Responsible for the care needs, the management of treatment and evaluation of clinical interventions, reflecting the needs of patients attending this Unit.
