About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Electrician to join our Minor Works Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on small-scale projects, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. As part of the role, you will be expected to test and certify your own work, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works across various sites. Undertake inspection, testing, and certification of your own completed works in line with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations). Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in a timely and professional manner. Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. Complete all required documentation accurately, including test certificates and reports. Liaise with supervisors, clients, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and smooth project delivery. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.

City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 & 2395 (or equivalent)

Inspection and Testing certification.

Approved ECS gold card.

18th edition.

Full UK Driving Licence.

Proven experience in electrical works, preferably within a minor works or maintenance environment.

Strong understanding of BS 7671 regulations and electrical testing procedures.

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
