Truss Design Technician

The Role:
As a Design Technician, you'll be responsible for turning technical concepts into accurate truss and joist designs, tailored to architectural and structural requirements. This role combines precision engineering with customer-facing support, ensuring bespoke solutions are delivered on time and to specification.
Key Duties:
Analyse architectural and engineering drawings to produce efficient timber truss and joist layouts using specialist software.
Provide accurate and timely quotations and design proposals to clients.
Communicate proactively with both new and existing customers, building strong relationships.
Respond to technical queries and support production with clear manufacturing details.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the smooth handover from design to manufacture.
Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all design work.
What You'll Bring:
Demonstrated experience in roof truss and/or joist design using specialist software (MiTek Pamir preferred).
A background in engineered timber or construction-related environments.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and produce precise designs.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
Strong customer service focus and confidence handling enquiries and technical queries.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
Organised, self-motivated, and able to meet project deadlines independently or as part of a team.

Working Hours:
Full-time: 39 hours per week.
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Part-time options are also available.

Pay: 38,420.00-50,646.60 per year
