Must possess valid SIA licence (Security Industry Authority Licence)

SIA Licence paid for on renewal

Must have a checkable work record for last five years

Job Purpose:

Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees and the public by patrolling and monitoring premises and equipment.

Duties:

Working various shifts covering days, nights & weekends. The ideal applicant needs to be flexible to cover static and mobile positions in the Plymouth and surrounding areas. Secure premises by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; reporting trespassers. You must be a good communicator both verbal and written, you may be dealing with local authorities and law enforcement agencies. You may be expected to deliver concise written reports at the end of your shift. Control of traffic on & off site

Expected Skills:

There could be a possibility that you will be required to walk some distance over rough terrain including during hours of darkness Experience as security officer preferred or training will be given. Ability to deal with uncertainty in calm and professional manner Knowledge of public safety management Possess good judgement, personal integrity and objectivity Good report writing skills Excellent surveillance and observation skills Experience in surveillance systems Reliable and dependable
