Due to demand in work, we are looking to recruit more carpenters in the fabric sector of our team. You will be responsible for carrying out various carpentry works as part of both planned and reactive maintenance to a satisfactory standard for our commercial clients. You will be working in the areas covering the South West, South Wales, M4 Corridor and the Midlands.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will be required to carry out various carpentry works, including FRA works,
You will be placed onto an on-call rota to adhere to our on call service - estimated time on call will be for 1 week every 12 weeks.
Travelling to and from areas covering the South West, South Wales, M4 Corridor and the Midlands.
Ensuring Health & Safety is adhered to at all times, attending toolbox talks/ training as required, following RAMs issued and completing dynamic risk assessments.
Assessing jobs and providing reports for further works or quotes.
Any other reasonable tasks deemed necessary by Managers.
Skills and Knowledge
Relevant construction experience in Fabric Carpentry works, with knowledge of various carpentry techniques.
Experience in working with Fire Doors
Trade qualifications - PASMA, IPAF, Asbestos, Manual Handling etc. (desired)
No unspent criminal convictions, must complete enhanced DBS and be allowed to work around children/vulnerable adults
Competent using a variety of hand and power tools
Good organisational and time-management skills, able to manage workload and complete tasks to schedule
Consistent and thorough in completion of paperwork
Hold a full, valid UK/EU driving licence
