Days, evenings, weekdays and weekends (seasonal -- more hours in summer)

About Us

Shipyard Street Food operate a new mobile catering horsebox based at Aberdeen Beach, with regular pop-ups and events across the region. We're passionate about serving great food, delivering friendly service, and creating a welcoming experience wherever we set up.

Key Responsibilities

As a Horsebox Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, high standards, and happy customers. Your responsibilities will include:

Horsebox Operations:

Set up, open, operate and close the unit safely and efficiently.

Shift Coordination:

Oversee day-to-day service and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Customer Experience:

Deliver warm, friendly service and ensure every guest has a great visit.

Independent Working:

Manage the horsebox confidently when working alone.

Food Preparation:

Prepare and serve food and drinks to a consistent standard.

Health & Safety:

Maintain strict hygiene, cleaning and food safety practices at all times.

Cash Handling:

Manage card/cash payments and basic paperwork.

Events Support:

Represent Shipyard Street Food professionally at events and busy periods.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone reliable, practical and hands-on who enjoys working independently and outdoors.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold a

valid UK driving licence (essential)

Be

confident and able to tow a horsebox (essential)

Be able to work independently and use initiative Be friendly, approachable and customer-focused Be willing and able to work

days, evenings, weekdays and weekends

Have hospitality or catering experience (helpful, but not essential -- training provided)
Note:

This is a seasonal role. There are more hours available over summer during peak season and at additional events, with quieter periods outside the main season.
