Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Enforcement Officer to join our team. This role involves ensuring compliance with parking and traffic regulations, maintaining public safety, and supporting the enforcement of local ordinances. The successful candidate will play a vital part in upholding community standards and fostering a safe environment for all residents and visitors. Prior leadership experience and strong report writing skills are highly desirable for this position.

Responsibilities

Enforce parking restrictions, traffic regulations, and other local ordinances in designated areas. Issue parking tickets and notices to vehicles in breach of regulations, ensuring accurate documentation of each case. Conduct patrols on foot or by vehicle to monitor compliance and address violations promptly. Engage professionally with members of the public, providing assistance or clarification regarding enforcement activities. Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, violations observed, and actions taken, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to coordinate enforcement efforts effectively. Assist in organising community engagement initiatives aimed at promoting awareness of parking and traffic rules.

Experience

Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally. Experience in report writing, with a focus on clear, concise documentation suitable for official records. Previous enforcement or law enforcement experience is advantageous but not essential; relevant training will be provided. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on professionalism and customer service. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of local legislation related to parking and traffic regulations is desirable but not mandatory; training will be available.
