to join our Facilities Management team covering three healthcare sites across the Dudley region, with occasional travel to surrounding areas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for performing both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
This role plays a key part in maintaining essential healthcare infrastructure and includes occasional on-call responsibilities (1 in 3 rota).
Key Responsibilities
Carry out all PPM and reactive electrical/mechanical maintenance tasks across designated sites
Respond promptly to work requests issued via our helpdesk system
Perform minor installations and assist in maintenance of site M&E systems
Complete detailed and accurate reports and paperwork for all work undertaken
Ensure safety documentation is issued and all works adhere to EQUANS safety policies
Supervise subcontractors and maintain all relevant records and logs
Source parts, prepare estimates, and communicate clearly with site teams and clients
Conduct routine fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
Participate in out-of-hours support, as part of a rotating call-out schedule
Comply with and promote EQUANS SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) policies
Required Experience and Skills
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (IEE) - Essential
Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems and fault diagnosis
Health and Safety awareness (including Legionella Awareness)
Experience working in customer-focused environments
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Confident, reliable, and adaptable with a customer-first attitude
Desirable Experience
+ Building Management Systems (BMS)
+ Air Handling Units, Pumps, LEVs, and Chillers
+ Fire and life safety systems (testing & recording)
+ Plumbing, pipework, drainage, and water treatment systems Confined Space certification
IPAF 3a & 3b
Basic carpentry and general handyman skills
HTM Authorised/Responsible Person certification (an advantage)
