About the Role:

We are hiring a Forklift Service Engineer to join our dynamic Field Service team. This full-time position involves maintaining, repairing, servicing, and modifying a range of material handling equipment. At PHL UK LTD, each challenge is unique, and we value your expertise in tackling them.

Key Responsibilities:

-Service, maintain, overhaul, and troubleshoot material handling products.

-Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise customer downtime.

-Complete documentation to company standards.

-Ensure comprehensive completion of job sheets, service sheets, and parts requisitions with appropriate authorisation.

-Backgrounds from automotive, roadside recovery, agricultural, REME, construction equipment, PSV, HGV, LGV, or plant is welcome.

-Respond promptly to breakdown reports from customers, diagnose issues, and requisition necessary parts and labour for repairs via PDA.

-Record all work performed, parts used, and time spent on equipment accurately using PDA.

-Liaise with our parts team to ensure appropriate stock levels on the company vehicle.

-Work on mobile machinery, including brakes, steering, wheels, and lift chains.

-Use your knowledge of electrical drive and control systems, diesel and LPG engines, common drive-trains, and hydraulics.

Skills and Experience:

-Minimum of 1 year experience as an engineer.

-Experience with material handling products or in a senior engineering role.

-Full UK driving license.

-Maintain knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and adhere to customer site protocols.

-Demonstrate understanding of LOLER regulations.

-Strong customer service skills to build rapport and address issues promptly.

-Ability to show initiative and support team members.

-Meet targets such as response time.
