Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Engineer with a glazing bias to join our hotel and restaurant maintenance and repairs team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out installations, repairs, and maintenance across a range of building trades, with a strong focus on glazing. This role requires flexibility, excellent trade skills.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out glazing works including installation, repair, and replacement of glass, windows, doors, and frames (uPVC, timber, and aluminium). Diagnose and rectify faults across a variety of building fabric and maintenance issues. Undertake multi-trade works as required, which may include basic carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating, and general building tasks. Ensure works are completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with health & safety regulations. Accurately record and report on work completed, including use of handheld devices or job management systems. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring residents/clients are fully informed and satisfied with completed works. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working condition. Work both independently and as part of a wider team on planned and reactive maintenance.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

Proven experience in glazing works (repairs, replacements, and installations). Strong competency in at least one additional trade (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, or general building maintenance). Good knowledge of health & safety practices. Full UK driving licence. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Desirable:

Relevant NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent trade qualifications. Experience working in facilities management, or property maintenance environments. CSCS card or equivalent. Knowledge of using handheld devices/job management systems.
