Fluid Power Services have branches in Liverpool, Warrington & Bolton within the north west. We are a well-established company which is part of a 100 million per year turnover group who employ over 400 staff nationally.

We operate within industry sectors, ranging from Marine, Manufacturing, Construction and plant, petrochemical and the food sector. Installing, designing and repairing hydraulics on all leading brands of machinery and equipment.

About the position



We are seeking an outgoing & competitive mobile hose fitter / hydraulic engineer to increase and strengthen our team.

As a Mobile Hose Engineer you will be responsible for attending site to perform emergency hose replacement and hydraulic components in response to breakdowns with our diverse range of customers while maintaining full HSE procedures. As well as developing business with existing and new customers. This role will include being part of an Asset Management team who will ensure downtime is kept at minimum and preventative and schedule maintenance is carried out onsite.

Operating out of a fully stocked mobile workshop, providing an essential service to industry with support from our local company locations.

Key Responsibilities



Design, fabricate, and assemble hydraulic hoses and fittings according to customer specifications and industry standards Perform inspections and tests on hydraulic systems to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate solutions Install, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems and components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses Conduct preventative maintenance procedures to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of hydraulic equipment Collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative hydraulic solutions for customer projects Provide technical support and training to customers and internal staff on hydraulic systems and products Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labour hours Cold Calling around regional area Assure a detailed RAMS is carried out before every job

Job Dimensions



To cover the North West area for hose replacement and maintenance, to work at the highest of quality following all health and safety guidelines, to be confident approaching customers and fault finding on their breakdowns.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required



H&S awareness and implementation ISO compliance and upkeep Experienced in hydraulic components Must have Full UK Driving Licence Must have a mechanical background

Job Type



Full-time, Permanent contract

Normal Working Hours



40 hours / Monday - Friday / 08:00am - 4.30pm with an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes

Salary



Starting from 30,000 depending on experience, onsite overtime and bonus available
