Basic wage 35K + Bonus OTE 45K

Operating in and around Rotherham, Sheffield and Doncaster, we are looking to recruit a mobile service technician to service existing customers' needs. We are an onsite replacement hose company and the ideal candidate will have previous hydraulic hose assembly and fitting experience, although general plant and mechanical engineering skills are the basic requirements. An ability to liaise with customers on all levels is required and some after hours 'on call' work will be involved.

General responsibilities & requirements

The fundamental role is to provide a professional On-site Hose Replacement Service to customers. This includes being part of a 24 hr 'on-call' rota with other technicians.

You will be expected to;

Maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicable. Manage a Mobile Sales and Service Unit (MSSU) to include: Maintaining sufficient stock levels within the MSSU. Performing routine maintenance checks such as engine oil/water levels, tyre pressures and make sure all lighting etc is in working order. Ensuring the MSSU is kept clean and tidy inside and out and servicing/MOT schedules are kept up to date. Provide assistance to other members of the Status team when requested. Attend H&S courses as and when requested by management. Consistently attain good personal presentation, including the wearing of company logo clothing as supplied and to present yourself in a professional and courteous manner to customers and other members of staff at all times. Show sound basic mechanical knowledge and know when to ask for help for speed of operation or H&S requirements. Have good manual dexterity and physical ability. Produce good communication skills both orally and in writing. Have the ability to work unsupervised and to time constraints. Effectively communicate technical information to other members of staff and customers as the need arises. Successfully complete Status Induction and Training programmes and subsequent on-site assessments as requested by management. Have a previous plant maintainance background and/or experience with hydraulics. Hold a full UK driving license, note the accumulation of penalty points may affect your employment.
