Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to support our operation. The ideal candidate will possess their own tools and vehicle. Someone who already has their own work/business and they are looking to expand their business with regular work.

A strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, demonstrating an ability to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to ensure the safety and performance of our fleet.

What you need:

Own tools. Own vehicle.

Responsibilities

Between sites in Exeter and Southampton. General repairs on Trailers. Perform routine maintenance tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.

Skills

Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues. Ability to work independently. Good communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and customers. A valid driving licence is essential; additional qualifications such as an NVQ or City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Engineering are advantageous.
