DM Calibration

DM offers a fully-managed, precision calibration service, devised to allow our customers to benefit from industry-leading calibration practices. Delivered through our mobile, on-site units or UKAS-approved laboratory, we keep our customers operating with minimal downtime, ensuring their equipment is accurate, compliant and fully audit-traceable.

JOB SUMMARY / OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE:



To perform Onsite calibration and, where appropriate, repair of instrumentation with the aim of meeting or surpassing customer expectations and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:



Attend customer establishments to perform calibration of allocated equipment within agreed parameters, recording and evaluating essential data, and providing necessary feedback in terms of technical opinion and interpretation in a company provided vehicle. Complete necessary tasks and undertake repair of equipment as required by customer specifications. Review current methods and validation techniques through job performance, training, or advancements in technology or measurement techniques, and recommend new methods to the Technical Manager. Liaise with the Technical Manager to expedite the completion of all work and cooperate with team members to expedite work in progress. Undertake technical training activities as appropriate, either as the trainee or trainer. Ensure all company-owned test equipment in use is maintained and calibrated in accordance with the company Total Quality Policy before use. Read, understand, and comply with all QMS documentation, including the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives, recognising that everyone has a commitment to quality. Comply with health and safety regulations and legislation, as well as all company policies and procedures. Maintain the immediate area of work to a neat and tidy standard. Attend internal or external meetings as required. Undertake any additional associated duties as required by the Technical Manager. Occasionally partake in overnight stays for work.

KEY REQUIREMENTS



Hands-on experience within Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing, Inspection, Machining). Proficient IT skills, capable of using Microsoft Office to a professional standard. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent Excel and system integration knowledge. 3 years' experience in calibration (desirable). Driving Licence.
