Mobile Tech Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a Mobile Tech Lead to join our EMEA team as we expand and enhance our mobile development capabilities.


In this role, you will work closely with delivery teams and manage client engagements while leading the creation and implementation of mobile applications for global clients.


This position is hybrid, and the ideal candidate will be located near one of our offices in Newcastle, Manchester, London, Dublin, or Belfast.

Responsibilities



Design and implement end-to-end mobile solutions, covering frontend, backend, middleware, and web services, utilizing deep expertise in Android, iOS, and other mobile development platforms Lead the planning, design, and delivery of mobile solutions, including creating reference architectures, preparing cost estimates, and providing technical leadership and direction for projects Evaluate client needs and collaborate with business and technology leaders to transform digital requirements into robust mobile and digital technology solutions Participate in client workshops, present technical solutions, and act as the primary technical liaison between clients, engineering teams, and support teams Define and establish best practices, standardized development processes, platform guidelines, and tools to deliver scalable and high-performing mobile and digital solutions Assess existing system architectures, troubleshoot performance issues, and recommend strategies to improve design and optimize system performance Drive innovation in mobile and digital technologies by contributing to thought leadership, attending industry events, mentoring team members, and fostering expertise in solution architecture

Requirements



Extensive experience in digital technologies with hands-on expertise in mobile development, including iOS (Objective-C/Swift), Android (Java/Kotlin), React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin At least 2 years of experience as a Solution Architect, with a proven track record of delivering and reviewing a minimum of five architecture designs and participating in at least five pre-sales activities within the last two years Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, with experience in planning, execution, resource management, and risk mitigation Strong background in mobile solution delivery and strategy, with expertise in areas such as eCommerce, Content Management, Media and Entertainment, Finance, or Cloud technologies Comprehensive knowledge of design patterns, performance optimization, refactoring, and resolving bottlenecks Experience in consulting or professional services, with a strong foundation in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design and demonstrated problem-solving skills
