We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention and Partnership as a Mobile Technician.


About Us


We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our dedicated team at the Tees Community Equipment Service. We're looking for someone who enjoys driving, is flexible, and comfortable visiting multiple addresses each day. You'll need a caring and professional approach, as well as the ability to work well as part of a team.


This rewarding and hands-on role involves delivering, installing, and collecting essential disability equipment to and from people homes and care homes across Teesside. Our equipment helps people live safely and independently in their own homes. You will play a key part in improving the quality of life for individuals at a time when they need support the most.


Key Responsibilities:

Driving a Large Long Wheelbase Van (Car Driving Licence Required)

Navigate efficiently throughout the Teesside area to meet delivery and collection schedules.

Deliver, install, and collect community equipment such as walking frames, commodes, hoists, bath lifts, chairs, beds, and mattresses.

Ensure all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and repaired to a high standard before reissue.

Carry out occasional warehouse duties, including stock handling and equipment preparation.

Provide excellent customer service while visiting Service Users in their homes.

Essential Criteria:

Full UK driving licence.

Confident using a computer and a handheld device (Delivery Scanner/PDA)

Good knowledge of the Teesside area and ability to navigate effectively.

Desirable Skills:

Experience driving larger vehicles.

Basic DIY or mechanical skills.

Previous experience in a warehousing, logistics, or equipment maintenance environment.

Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.


Please note, this is a fixed term vacancy until 31st March 2026.


The service operates between 10am and 6pm Monday to Friday, you will work from our Unit located at: Raleigh Court Riverside Park Middlesbrough TS2 1RR.
