We are recruiting for a mobile veterinary nurse in the vibrant city of Edinburgh!

An opportunity has arisen to join us at an established mobile veterinary practice in Edinburgh. We are a proudly independent and friendly practice who like to make things less stressful for our team, our patients and clients.

The job and team

The job is an interesting mixture of home visits, surgical nursing, shelter medicine and admin duties (emails, phones, client comms) shared on a rota between the nurses. We do offer flexible working hours and would consider part-time (min 3 days a week) or full-time. Examples of home visits include assisting vets when required with bloods and scans, administering monthly arthritis injections, nail clipping, grooming, blood pressure checks, laser therapy clinics. Our clients are generally lovely and receptive to advice and the role really allows you to get to know them and their pets in a calm, relaxed environment. Currently we have 5 vets and 3 nurses. We are a very friendly team and everyone works well together.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced vet nurse with the following qualities -

confident with anaesthesia and surgical nursing good client communication skills time efficient and organised don't mind driving (we love a podcast while driving!) a passion for nursing and animals minimum of 2 years experience comfortable with sole-working
