We're currently supporting placements in Glasgow and across Scotland. No matter where you live, you're welcome to apply. If you're successful at interview and there isn't a nursery recruiting near you, we'll actively reach out to nurseries in your area to help secure a suitable placement.

What's involved?

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced practitioners and learn on the job while completing your SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People). You'll be employed by the nursery and supported throughout your training by L&G Learning.

A typical day might include:

Setting up the playroom for a fun and engaging day Supporting planned activities linked to the Curriculum for Excellence Helping with meals and snacks Playing outdoors -- rain or shine! Making sure children feel safe, supported, and encouraged

What we're looking for:

We're looking for people who are enthusiastic about working with children and keen to learn. Some experience is helpful, but not essential. Ideally, you'll have at least one National 5 in English, but we're happy to consider applicants who show real interest and potential.

Funding is available for candidates aged 16-19 through Skills Development Scotland.
