Overview

We are seeking a practical, reliable, and skilled

Modular Building / Cabin Fitter

to join our growing team. The role involves the installation, refurbishment, and fit-out of modular buildings and cabins, both in our yard and on-site. You'll be expected to work to a high standard, sometimes independently and sometimes as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly, fitting, and installation of modular cabins and portable buildings Carrying out basic joinery and carpentry tasks (e.g. fitting doors, skirting, flooring, and internal fixtures) Installing windows, wall panels, and other modular components Assisting with refurbishment, repairs, and maintenance of existing units Reading and working from drawings or instructions Ensuring all work meets health, safety, and quality standards Working both in the workshop and on customer sites Occasionally working away from home when required (travel and accommodation provided)

Skills

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Basic joinery and carpentry skills with experience in fitting or assembly roles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. cabin fitter, joiner, carpenter, or installer) Basic joinery and carpentry skills essential Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely Good teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail Full UK driving licence (preferred)

Desirable but non-essential skills

Forklift certifications (Training can be provided)

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
