FIM (Fulcrum Infrastructure Management) is an asset management company, a subsidiary of global infrastructure fund Meridiam. (meridiam.com)

Our LIFTCo (NHS Health Centre companies) team is responsible for 17 buildings in the North West and 18 in London, and we are now looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Monitoring Officer to lead on evaluating compliance across our FM service providers. This role is pivotal to ensuring quality service delivery and safeguarding asset performance through a mix of document review and physical site assessments.

The Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for liaising with our FM provider to ensure that all items listed in the asset register are appropriately mapped to their corresponding monitoring activities.

You'll provide monthly schedules of planned monitoring, request essential compliance records, and conduct thorough reviews to assess whether those records demonstrate adherence to legal and operational standards.

Accurate documentation and ongoing status updates will be key, as well as reporting any instances of non-compliance to relevant technical and general managers. You'll follow up until issues are resolved and work collaboratively to clarify any ambiguities in compliance interpretation.

Periodic and ad hoc reporting will be part of your routine, helping stakeholders make informed decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on precision, communication, and continuous improvement.

About you

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on precision, communication, and continuous improvement.

You will be a self-driven and organised individual with the ability to work autonomously to meet targets and deadlines.

Fostering strong stakeholder relationships will be important to you and you will be able to confidentially develop strong relationships across various levels. You will possess excellent communication skills, whether in conversation, presentation, or written reports, and you're able to convey information clearly and confidently across all media.

Calm under pressure, you thrive in dynamic environments and deliver accurate, high-quality work through a methodical and systematic approach.

While experience in Hard FM compliance monitoring is beneficial, it's not essential; a background in a PFI/PPP environment would be ideal, or a Hard FM/ commercial management environment would be an asset.
