Monitoring Technician role
:
We are currently looking to recruit a Monitoring Technician who will undertake in situ testing, monitoring for our friendly team of site investigation specialists across the country working out of our Coventry office. Responsibilities will involve travel across the country to monitor various types of instrumentation, including water and gas levels within boreholes, collecting water and gas samples and monitoring specialist instrumentation such as inclinometers, vibrating wire piezometers and level loggers. It all sounds complicated, but don't worry, we have a team of specialist who will train you in everything you need to know!
We work in a wide variety of sectors including utilities, industrial and commercial, education, new build, highways and rail infrastructure, contaminated land redevelopment, onshore and offshore energy and environmental.
Our team members:
Are knowledgeable about a wide range of the latest site investigation techniques, surveying and monitoring procedures, techniques and Standards.
Are able to work with company documents for effective reporting, communication and record-keeping
Are trained in health and safety schemes such as CSCS, SMSTS, and CDM 2015 Regulations.
We are looking for people who:
Are enthusiastic and keen to learn
Are suitably qualified
Are looking for site based work
Will be based out of our Coventry office, predominantly in the Midlands and South East, but with a need from time to time to assist other regional offices
Can work autonomously or as part of a team and take responsibility projects and equipment
Hold a full UK driving licence
Your first few days and weeks will see you introduced to the Company and the team. Early qualifications you will acquire include Health & Safety CSCS certification, this is essentially a safety passport to visit and work on all our sites.
Other early training include First Aid at Work, Defensive Driving and also how to safely operate a Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Genny to avoid underground services. Additionally you will receive training in Administration, Commercial, Technical and Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality.

Someone who loves the great outdoors, is a self-starter with a real passion for all things regarding ground engineering
The ideal person will be diligent, have a sense of urgency, be tenacious with a strength of purpose and above all have integrity.
They will be able to quickly build relationships with all staff.
