Job Description

We are very excited to offer a term-time only role for an outstanding teacher to join our wonderful Montessori nursery starting in January 2026. Based in a parkland setting in Chiswick, our nursery combines a beautiful indoor environment with free flow to our garden and forest school. Our teachers are all Montessori qualified, and share a joint passion for Montessori and early years education. The team are like family, and enjoy social events together.

A few details about our nursery:

We are a sessional nursery, with morning or afternoon sessions in term-time only.

We support children aged between 2 to 5 years old.

We are busiest in the morning, so are open to morning only or longer hours for our teachers.

We are passionate about both indoor and outdoor education and forest schooling.

Responsibilities and Duties



To be a Montessori teacher in the setting, and a key worker to a number of children

To observe and support children to help them reach their full potential

Support curriculum planning and implementation

Support parent engagement

Keep and update records in partnership with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager

To uphold each of our nursery policies, importantly those that relate to our safeguarding commitments

Participate in self-assessment, reflection and ongoing professional development as part of our commitment to training

Core part of the nursery team, helping to think through and implement our strategy and the opportunities ahead of us.

Qualifications and Skills



A qualified and experienced teacher with a passion for early years education and the Montessori pedagogy

Montessori Level 3 / 4 qualification

Deep understanding of the EYFS statutory requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a nursery setting

Experience in tracking and monitoring of children's progress

An excellent communicator, with a strong commitment to working in partnership with parents and the community

Safeguarding Training

12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate

DBS Certificate and Update Service

Benefits



Competitive base salary of between 26-27k / annum, pro rata, and dependent on experience. 37-38 weeks working / year.

Additional optional income from a 1-week holiday camp managed directly by the teaching team.

We aim to provide an annual bonus when we can redistribute income coming into the school.
