Heron Financial is seeking a confident, analytical Mortgage & Protection Data Insights Administrator to become the driving force behind our advisers' success. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the UK's leading Mortgage and Protection firms at a time of rapid growth and innovation, where your expertise in data and process will directly influence client outcomes and business performance.

As the critical link between our Mortgage and Protection Advisers, you will leverage data to guide, inform, and empower our teams. Your insights will shape adviser actions, highlight opportunities, and ensure we consistently exceed Consumer Duty and FCA standards. If you thrive on finding patterns, solving problems, and making a measurable impact, we want you on our team.

What Makes This Role Stand Out?

You won't just process data-you'll own it. You'll analyse adviser journeys, spot trends, identify gaps, and translate insights into actionable guidance that drives better client outcomes. Your work will directly support our ambition to be a gold-standard, data-led firm, measuring success against the MAB Charter and other key benchmarks. You'll collaborate closely with advisers, challenging and supporting them with evidence-based recommendations, not just gut feel. You'll play a pivotal role in refining our processes, ensuring every client receives exceptional care and every adviser has the tools to succeed.

Key responsibilities

Act as the central point of coordination between Mortgage and Protection Adviser teams, ensuring seamless communication and data flow. Monitor, analyse, and report on daily, weekly, and monthly performance-highlighting where we excel and where we can improve. Deep-dive into adviser journey notes and active prospect pipelines to spot patterns, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Use data to guide advisers, helping them prioritise actions that will drive the best outcomes for clients and the business. Support compliance by ensuring all documentation and processes meet FCA and Consumer Duty expectations. Provide data-led insights at internal meetings, driving accountability and continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with providers and internal stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed. Continuously improve internal processes, embedding best practices that lead to superior client outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in a senior mortgage administration or data-focused role within a brokerage or financial services environment. Exceptional analytical skills: you can turn raw data into clear, actionable insights. Advanced Excel skills (formulas, filters, formatting, reporting). Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Confident communicator: able to influence, challenge, and support advisers using evidence and insight. Strong understanding of the importance of Protection insurance in holistic financial planning.
