Mortgage Consultant/Manager



Location:

Horsham and Southwater

Hours:

Permanent, Full-time or Part-time

Salary:

25-30,000 FTE (based on experience) with the potential to earn 60-70,000 FTE including commission

Individual commission structure

We have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused mortgage and protection adviser. We are on the hunt for an organised and enthusiastic team player who can support our growing business by working on leads from our sister company, a local, prominent estate agency, and by servicing our remortgage portfolio. This person needs to have an excellent eye for detail, the ability to work under pressure and be focussed on providing exceptional service.

At least three years' experience of working as a mortgage adviser, or within a financial advisory environment, is essential and an ability to build relationships and close sales. Ideally, they will have a good conversion rate on their financial protection.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct in-depth consultations to understand client's financial needs, goals and risk tolerance

Identify and recommend suitable mortgage and protection products from across the whole market

Close provided leads effectively

Build strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals

Maintain pipeline activity

Network within the local community to generate leads

Communicate with clients throughout the mortgage process

Liaise with lenders on mortgage application updates

Update and input data into the client software system

Ensure work is compliant and meets regulatory requirements

Maintain professional standards through ongoing CPD and keeping up to date with market changes and regulation

Essential skills and attributes



Must have CeMAP qualification or equivalent with FCA Competent Advisor Status (CAS)

At least 3 years mortgage industry experience

Professional and presentable with strong verbal and communication skills

Strong analytical and excellent attention to detail

Able to work independently

Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail and administration skills to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines

Proficiency with mortgage sourcing tools and CRM platforms

Excellent collaborator with the ability to work autonomously
