Founded in 2018 and now part of the ERGO Group, we act as an in-house third-party administrator (TPA), managing a variety of claims Motor, Property, and Liability for both internal and external clients.

Role Purpose



As a Motor Claims Handler within our motor team, you will work on a caseload of motor claims from first notification of loss (FNOL) through to settlement and closure. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, brokers, and external partners, ensuring all claims are handled with efficiency, accuracy, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities



Manage a portfolio of motor (agricultural) claims from initial notification through to closure, ensuring fair and timely outcomes. Act as a friendly and professional point of contact for customers, delivering excellent communication throughout the claims process. Handle both inbound and outbound telephone calls from policy holders, brokers & other external stakeholders. Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), regulatory requirements, and company standards. Accurately update internal systems with claim progress and documentation. Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate appropriately. Work collaboratively within the team to meet collective goals and deliver excellent service.

Skills & Experience



Previous experience in motor claims handling or insurance claims management. Experience with agricultural claims would be desired, but not essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage sensitive conversations professionally. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple claims efficiently and prioritise workload effectively. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Knowledge of motor insurance policies, repair processes, and industry guidelines (desirable). Someone who is customer-focused, empathetic, and approachable. A proactive problem-solver with a positive, solution-driven mindset. Able to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking ownership of individual work. Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
