Job Role
Experience in repairing and maintaining injection mould tools
In-depth knowledge of Injection mould tooling & Fault diagnosis
Experience of Hot Runner systems would be beneficial
Experience with standard toolroom equipment, milling, turning, grinding. Spark erosion/EDM not essential but beneficial
Experience designing and/or manufacturing injection mould tooling would be beneficial but not essential
Experience of CAD/CAM would be beneficial, training can be offered
A "can do" attitude, with the ability to adhere to high quality standards and prioritise the workload
Responsibilities
Responsible for working to HSER standards through the use of all Leadership in action tools.
Responsible for meeting all legislative Health and Safety standards.
Ensuring goods and products comply with company standards as well as international standards and regulatory requirements.
Managing improvement projects related to quality, safety, environmental and energy saving aspects.
Aiding in non-conformity investigations.
Knowledge of measurement
Understanding of engineering drawings
Understanding manufacturing processes
Identifying possible areas for improvement in production & quality processes.
Ensuring production is not hindered by planned maintenance
Provide support and guidance to the production team, in relation to mould tool upkeep.
Creating route cause analysis reports, identifying failure modes and solutions to prevent reoccurrence
Producing jigs and fixtures required for the business.
Stock management of consumable items to ensure as little downtime as possible in production
Liaising with external mould makers, in terms of repairs, improvements we are unable to undertake in house.
Managing mould tool servicing schedules
Education
GCSE Level A-C, BTec first certificate or equivalent NVQ level 2 qualification
Mechanical engineering qualification or toolmaker apprenticeship or equivalent
Working knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft office suite, 3d CAD systems, CNC programming (prototrak), lotus notes etc.
