Work with process engineers or moulding technicians to

optimise cycle times and part quality.

We are looking for a

Mould/Tool Technician

in our United Caps site,

Dinnington, Sheffield

.

The role will support the process team and be responsible for tool maintenance. Supporting the Process Engineer of new mould introduction, from pilot launch to production validation. Validating and qualifying our moulds at suppliers facility through to

Installation and validation

of mould at the UC Plant.

You'll support the Injection moulding machine specification and selection for specific mould projects. This includes participating to the information exchange between R&D and our Plant.

Organise and maintain the mould preventative maintenance program, ensuring production runs as smoothly as possible Maintain and service of tools/moulds, full tool removal and re-fit Diagnose tool-related issues during production and perform corrective actions Cascade knowledge and train work colleagues Assist with

tool installations

and removals during production changeovers Work with process engineers to

optimise cycle times and part quality

For this role we need someone who has the ability to work cross functionally and is able to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners. Work to tight deadlines and confident at communicating at all levels.

Experience of high cavity injection moulds is essential.

We need you to be able to travel outside the UK to other plants and suppliers on occasion.

Essential skills

;

Competent tool technician, maintenance skills, injection moulds.

Understanding of technical drawing (machines/ tool design/products).

Experience of working within an injection moulding environment preferably within the plastics industry.

Appreciation/understanding of process capabilities and general SPC.
